Praying always! Some shudder at the thought. How can we be in constant prayer? How can we be on our knees day and night?
Well, we don't have to be on our knees day and night, nor do we have to use grandiose words. Praying is talking to God and you can talk to God any time at all; that is, if you're walking with Him.
I have a walking buddy and when we go for our walks we talk to each other. We chatter on and on through pretty well the whole walk. We don't talk to each other when we are not together. It's not till one of us picks up the phone that we talk. One of us has to make that first move to connect.
I am not always available to her and she is not always available to me, but we will leave a message and eventually connect.
God is always available to us. He is always ready to talk to us but often we are too busy to connect to Him, and when we do it's mainly because we want something. Now imagine if you had a friend, who, the only time they called you was to ask for something. You wouldn't consider them a very good friend would you? And you might even avoid their calls. God doesn't want a friend like that either. He want you to walk with Him and talk with Him. He want's you to share the good as well as the the bad. He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden till sin separated them from Him. Don't let sin separate you from God. Walk with Him, talk with Him and enjoy His sweet presence.
