Scripture of the Day - December 1, 2012

Genesis 8:21...the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth...

We like to blame the evils of the world on outside forces... it minimizes our responsibility.  The fact is we, as individuals,  are responsible for the choices we make, for what we do, whether it be evil or good. Religion is blamed for most of the conflict in the world but that is not the case. If you were to follow the teachings of Jesus you would pray for your enemies and ask God to bless them. But we don't like to do that. It goes against our nature. We want to hurt our enemy. We want to kill our enemy. It's when we follow after the imaginations of our heart that evil abounds.
Solomon, the wisest man on earth, said  "He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool..." Pr 28:26

Scripture of the Day - November 30, 2012

Ephesians 5:15  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

The days are evil because people choose to be evil. The hearts of many are waxed cold. We, as Christians, must not get caught up in the evil of the day but walk very carefully in the ways of God. Solomon said whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. Walking wisely is knowing the will of God and following His ways.

Scripture of the Day - November 29, 2012

Hebrews 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Just as in the days of Noah, we are warned of things to come, things not seen as yet. We need to beware and prepare ourselves for what's ahead. We'd be fools not to.
In spite of the mocking and ridicule Noah built an arc, in a day when it had never even rained, which saved him and his family. Don't mind the ridicule of family and friends who won't listen. Get ready because this world is in for a shaking like never before and if you're caught off guard you will perish.

Scripture of the Day - November 28, 2012

John 1:10  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

The world knew Him not... because of willful ignorance.
There's a question going around "God, why do you allow so much violence in our schools?" The answer is, "I'm not allowed in your schools." If we ignore God and don't allow Him to lead and guide us we are doomed for chaos. All the mayhem in the world today is because people don't know God and don't follow His ways.
He created a perfect world. Mankind brought the chaos in with sin. He came to save His creation. Mankind rejected Him. He is coming back. Mankind will be judged once and for all.
Oh I'm so glad to know Him. I'm so glad that I am His. I'm so glad I can look forward to a reward rather than a judgement. I'm so glad I can look forward to a crown of life rather than wailing and gnashing of teeth.
NOTHING is worth turning your back on God. Give yourself to Him now, you'll be so glad you did.

Scripture of the Day - November 27, 2012

Proverbs 18:10  The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

I read in a tweet that two elements of a tower are protection and perspective and immediately I thought how we have that protection in Jesus. Folks, we are totally protected when we take on the name of Jesus. He is our strong tower. No weapon formed against us shall prosper! It doesn't mean the enemy won't try but we can rest assured that we are protected when we belong to Jesus.
We just have to work on our perspective. Are you living righteously before the Lord? Then you have nothing to fear!

Scripture of the Day - November 26, 2012

Galatians 1:15  But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16  To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen...

You just never know what God has in store for you. Never give up on yourself and never think you are beyond His precious reach.
Paul, known as the 'great' apostle, who was responsible for the gospel to be spread from Jerusalem to Rome, was not always zealous for the cause of Christ. In fact he persecuted the church beyond measure. Now who would have thought he would be the greatest advocate of the gospel? No one in that day I can assure you!
God can turn any situation around and use any person for His purpose...yes, even you.

Scripture of the Day - November 25, 2012

Titus 2:13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,

God Almighty, who is also our saviour, gave himself for us. He redeemed us. He bought us back. We are His. It's a done deal.
Our hope is not some vague wish. We don't cross our fingers thinking maybe, perhaps, if we could be so lucky. On the contrary, we look with full confident expectation for the glorious appearing of our Lord and Saviour.
How exciting is that! Don't let your heart be troubled, keep your eyes focused on His return.

Scripture of the Day - November 24, 2012

Romans 5:2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

We have access to the grace of God through our faith in Jesus. Jesus said "if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." John 8:24
We must believe that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh and that all the fulness of the Godhead dwelt in that human body. God was reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, which is why he manifest HIMSELF in the flesh to pay our penalty.
Whooooweee! And we can rejoice in the hope we now have, the hope of the glory of God!

Scripture of the Day - November 23, 2012

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

The only way to have peace with God is through Jesus Christ, and our faith in Him. There are not many paths to heaven and not all of the faiths that man has devised will enter in. Jesus was very clear on this when He said "I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me."
Folks, we need to pray for those who don't understand this yet. Pray that their eyes be open to truth.

Ephesians 5:15  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

More than ever we need to immerse ourselves in the Word of God and allow it to guide us in all our understanding. We live in a day where evil is considered good and good considered evil. The prince of the power of the air has this world whipped up into a frenzy and if we are not careful we can get swept up in it. I was reading a headline about some left winged religious groups in the U.S. protesting against Israel. How backwards they have it. God said to Abraham "And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." We need to support Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Scripture of the Day - November 21, 2012

Ephesians 4:30 30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

God has given us the potential to resist sin but we have the responsibility to resist sin. If we refuse to resist sin we are grieving the Holy Spirit. Repeatedly we are told to "let" which puts the onus on us. We have to make the effort. God has done His part and we are expected to do ours.

Scripture of the Day - November 20, 2012

John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth...

God has given us His Holy Spirit to guide us. It's up to us whether we follow or not. We can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us, but if we try to do things on our own, that's when we fall short. It's imperative to be sensitive to the Spirit and that takes practice. God will often lead us out of our comfort zone and that's when we tend to put on the brakes and say no. Unfortunately, we don't go anywhere when we do that... we don't grow ourselves and whatever we are trying to accomplish for God won't come to fruition.
Don't ever give up. No matter how many times you may fail God is always there to pick you up and head you on the right track again.
Micah 7:8  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Scripture of the Day - November 19, 2012

Hebrews 3:15  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

I've been reading reports on the Convention in El Salvador. So far during this weekend over 2000 people have received the Holy Ghost and over 100 were baptized. Whoowee, how exciting it is! Looking at the pictures of thousands of people responding to the preaching and the Spirit was beautiful.
It hit me though, how different it is up here in the north. If we get one or two responding it's revival! People's hearts seem to be harder up here. They don't receive the Word of God so readily. They are just not interested. You can't even beg them to come to church. They have better things to do. But yet then think they are all going to heaven. How wrong they are. If they harden their hearts toward God now they will not enter heaven. 19  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Folks, those of us who believe need to pray more fervently than ever for our friends and family whose hearts are hardened. Time is growing short.

Obadiah1:15  For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

As things are ramping up in the middle east we need to pray harder than ever for our leaders to stand strong with Israel and not bow to world pressure to go against God's chosen people. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Scripture of the Day - November 17, 2012

Matthew 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

With the rising tension in the middle east it would be natural for people to become afraid. But a born again Christian has nothing to fear. God is in control of everything. We have to be strong and courageous and not turn from the Word of God. We have to endure what is going on in this world and not let it make us react in fear. I saw a picture of a cute frog clinging to the open mouth of an alligator. It was just dangling there and the caption read, "Fear can make you cling to the strangest things."
Folks, we can't let fear lead us to strange things. Stick to the Word of God, it endures forever.

Scripture of the Day - November 16, 2012

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Those who not only believe in Jesus but obey His word will know the truth and the truth will make them free... free from the snare of sin, free from lies and free from destruction.
But it seems that many people today are wrapped up in their own world view and their own identity. They think they can create heaven here on earth with their own human efforts. They don't retain God in their knowledge, instead they speak evil of the truth and glorify a lie. And for this they will reap destruction. God is not responsible for the chaos this world is in...people are because they follow the wrong thing.
Peter warned  2 Peter 2:2  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Folks, we can't discard the truth. We have to treasure it for without it we shall not see heaven. Jesus said in John 14:6   I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Scripture of the Day - November 15, 2012

Luke 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noe... 28  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot...

I saw a picture of someone very dear to me in a typical party pose with a bottle of alcohol held high, and the comment was 'ahahaha enjoying life". It broke my heart especially because this person knows better. But here they are out there "enjoying" life and ignoring the warnings of God.
I also just signed a petition to stop the UN from controlling the internet. Revelation 13 tells us that there is going to be a one world government led by the antichrist who is going to force everyone to take his mark and follow him. It also tells us that everyone who follows him will be destroyed.
God has given warning after warning, example after example but yet there are still people who just won't listen. They brush off the warnings and are headed for destruction. Folks we are indeed living in the end times. The signs of the season are everywhere. It's time to heed the warnings and turn to God. Save yourselves from this wicked age.

Scripture of the Day - November 14, 2012

John 15:4  ...As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

You are not going to bear fruit doing things your way. You will only frustrate yourself to no end. Submit your will to God's will. Put aside your preconceived notions of the way things should be and put on the mind of Christ. Humble yourself toward Him and let Him direct your path.

Scripture of the Day - November 13, 2012

Numbers 12:3  (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

God chose a meek man to lead two million people out of captivity. How opposite our thinking! We would chose a bold man, a confident man, a man who has proven himself brave and strong...but that's because we don't understand that it's not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God Almighty that we can win any battle.
So what is it you are trying to do 'for the Lord'? Whatever it is, are you relying on your own abilities or are you lamenting that your abilities aren't good enough? Remember, God will turn aside from the proud but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. The meek shall inherit the earth!

Scripture of the Day - November 12, 2012

Leviticus 26:3  If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4  Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

There is a season for everything, even the blessings of God. For new growth to take place something must die. Jesus explains this in John 12:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
If we want the blessings of the Lord We must be willing to allow the Spirit to lead us. The Spirit can't lead us if we are full of self will.
We must be willing to die to self will and follow after HIM. Self will leads to the barren land where you abide alone and nothing grows. Self will hinders the blessings of God. It's not till you release your self will that God can work with you and you can then bring forth fruit.
Oh how precious are the commands of God...keep them and do them, for they lead us to the blessings.

Scripture of the Day - November 11, 2012

1Thessalonians 5:23  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Body and soul must learn to work together but often they are at odds. There are those who are driven by the body, driven to satisfy every craving of the flesh and there are those who are driven by the soul, turning aside from all natural pleasures. Neither extreme is healthy.  Each must yield to the other. The soul must direct the body's inclinations in a constructive way while taking care of the needs of the body. Your physical appearance is important for it reveals the soul, What you are on the inside shows on the outside. So then, both soul and body must be led by the Spirit and bring forth the fruit of that Spirit if we are to be preserved blameless.

Scripture of the Day - November 10, 2012

Psalm 30:5...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
As I sat at Tim Horton's between appointments yesterday a group of veterans came and sat next to me. What a jovial group. It brought a smile to my face to hear them carry on with each other. They had been through some horrific times but you would never say.
Folks, we can let the bad things in life drag us down or we can use them as stepping stones to better things. Life will not always be kind, but we have a Saviour who is always kind. You may be going through a time of weeping, a time of heart ache, a time of trial but rest assured you have a God who will bring you through. Trust in Him and lean on Him. Joy will come in the morning!

Scripture of the Day - November 9, 2012

Hebrews 12:15  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you.

Bitterness is not godliness. It does not bring contentment, rather it brings trouble... trouble to your spirit, to your mind and even to your physical body. Bitterness slowly erodes your well-being. Often, people don't realize what is taking place. Life has dealt them a nasty blow and they feel quite justified in their bitterness so they feed that bitterness and won't let it go. Our self will can be our greatest enemy. Submit your will to God, seek His ways and you will find contentment.

Scripture of the Day - November 8, 2012

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us...

If you want contentment in life here is how to get it. Follow after God and walk in love. Put on the mind of Christ and put off all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, with all malice. Instead of these nasty feelings DECIDE to be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Seriously folks, God does know what will bring contentment and even though it goes against our grain, once we grasp what He is trying to teach us, once we get a hold of this, we will have contentment no matter what the situation is.

Scripture of the Day - November 7, 2012

1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness WITH contentment is great gain.

The preposition with (meta) is often used in the same relation as participation or proximity and transfer or sequence. If you want contentment you must seek godliness because it's godliness that transfers over to contentment. That's the sequence. Now godliness is not just how we dress or where we go or how polite we can be in public. Godliness is actually to put on the mind of Christ. All this business of thinking of whatever is true, lovely etc, of considering others before ourselves and, dare I say, submitting one to another does not come naturally to most of us. In fact, for some, it goes dead set against their nature. We have to work on it. We have to purpose in our hearts to follow after God, THEN we will have great gain, THEN we will be content, for to be content is great gain.

Scripture of the Day - November 6, 2012

1 Timothy 6:5...supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness WITH contentment is great gain.
We often have things backwards. We think worldly gain is godliness and we strive for this, hence our Christianity is only surface deep; and because it's only surface deep when the tempest of life blows against us we are uprooted and tossed by the winds. If you want to really gain in life you need to seek the kingdom of God FIRST. Seek after HIS righteousness. Seek after godliness. When you seek after godliness you WILL gain contentment. This is the sequence...Godliness first then contentment.

Scripture of the Day - November 5, 2012

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Seeing as our thought process is so important, not only to our spiritual and emotional health but also to our physical health, God has instructed us how to think. If you apply this to your life you will prosper and be in good health... the Bible tells us this so it's true.
Proverbs 16:24  Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Proverbs 3:7  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 8  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
If you feed yourself healthy food to keep your body healthy doesn't it make sense to feed yourself healthy thoughts (and words) to keep your spirit healthy?

Scripture of the Day - November 4, 2012

Matthew 6:33  But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I am convinced that the majority of us brush over scripture and don't actually apply it to our lives, or at best we partially apply it. Jesus was very clear that we are to put Him FIRST, but if we are to be honest, we don't. Oh we may go to church every Sunday and we may even read our Bible and pray every day, but to actually apply the Word, to let it be etched in our hearts so that we live it instead of just reading about it is something many of us fall short on.
We tend to be fixated on our own righteousness and not on God's righteousness. This actually puts up a barrier to God truly ruling our hearts. We stand on our knowledge (of theology) not keeping in mind that the devil also knows who God is... and look where he is headed.
Folks, our actions come from our thoughts. We have to seek God in our thought process first. Our thoughts must be filtered through the Word of God. If our thoughts and reactions to the things of life are contrary to God's Word then we are seeking our own righteousness not God's righteousness and we are missing out on the tremendous blessings of God.

Scripture of the Day - November 3, 2012

Philippians 4:11  ... I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Paul had to learn to be content is whatever state he was in. It doesn't come naturally for any of us.
Human nature leads us to constantly strive for bigger, better, more, and of course comfort. These things make us happy and content...but only for a while...the novelty wears off and we find ourselves striving yet again for more and more.
But what happens when we are not able to achieve these natural goals? What happens when all seems to go against us and the bottom falls out of the barrel? What happens to our attitude?
(To be continued...in the meantime, think about what makes you happy and content.)

Scripture of the Day - November 1, 2012

Genesis1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

In the evolutionist's own publications they declare "something odd happened." That's all they have to say? They wave away the truth of creation and to explain their ridiculous theory they say something happened at sometime. Good grief, and they laugh at those of us who understand that IN THE BEGINNING GOD!

Scripture of the Day - October 31, 2012

Jeremiah: 17:7  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
8  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

You have to be careful where you spread your roots. If you trust in the Lord and spread your roots in His Word you shall prosper.
But you have to be careful that you are not deceived by the vain philosophy of man. You may have your roots in good soil now, you may be prospering now and things may feel 'oh so right' but what if this soil is not of the Lord?
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof. (Ezekiel 17:8-12)
If our roots are not planted in the Word of God but in the philosophy of man God will pluck them up. Nothing will prevent Him.
Wide is the path that leads to destruction and many there be that plant their roots in it.
Know ye not what these things mean?

Scripture of the Day - October 30, 2012

Hebrews 13:15 ...let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

It seems odd to call praise a sacrifice but it certainly can be. When your world comes crashing in on you it is a sacrifice to praise God. Many people blame God for their calamity and instead of praising Him they get angry at Him. God is not to blame...sinful humanity is to blame. Man brought sin into this world but God loved his creation so much that He manifested Himself in the flesh, in other words He sent His son, to pay the penalty for our sin. We ought to praise Him every day for that and turn to Him whenever our hearts are breaking for He came to heal the brokenhearted.

Scripture of the Day - October 28, 2012

Psalm 61:2  ...when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

In times of pain and sorrow it's good to have family and friends to turn to. It's good to have a shoulder to cry on and arms to hug you. We cry together and comfort each other as best we can, and how greatly it is needed.  But in times of such intense loss a person still has to struggle through a great deal alone and each person's struggle is unique to them. The only one who can truly understand each of us individually is Jesus... so then... a person has to come to terms with things on their own before God. When your heart is overwhelmed go to the rock of your salvation. Call on the name of the Lord, which is a strong tower that you can run to and be safe. Allow yourself to be wrapped in His loving arms for He is your fortress and your deliverer.

Scripture of the Day - October 27, 2012

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me ...to comfort all that mourn;
3  ...to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness...

Life is bittersweet and the only way we can deal with the bitter is to lean on the Lord. He has felt all the hurts that we feel and He is moved by our sorrow. He cares for us and is with us through it all. We can rest in those everlasting arms. Are you mourning today? Go to Him for comfort. Let Him turn your ashes into beauty.  Don't let the spirit of heaviness weigh you down, rather, in these times of sorrow and heartache allow the oil of joy to pour over your spirit for strength .

Scripture of the Day - October 24, 2012

1 Samuel 12:22  For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

The Lord will never forsake you. He has called you and He has bought you with His own blood. It pleased Him...yes, His love is that great that it pleased Him... to purchase your salvation with his own precious blood. What a price to pay and what a love so deep. Nothing at all in this entire world can separate you from His love. Whatever you have done, if you call on Him, He will be there for you. You are His. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He always has your back.

Scripture of the Day - October 23, 2012

Isaiah 41:13  For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

Is your life a mess? Are things just not working out for you no matter how hard you try? Have you gotten yourself into a pickle of your own doing? Fear not. Turn to Him who loves you freely and He will help you. He will hold your hand if you reach out and He will guide you if you will listen.  Jacob is a perfect example of God's perfect love. He undermined his brother and tricked his father into giving him the blessing instead. Esau of course was furious and threatened to kill Jacob so their mother sent him out of Esau's reach to his uncles place. But as he ran from his brother Esau, God promised to be with him. Genesis 28:15  And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Scripture of the Day - October 22, 2012

Hosea 14:4  I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely...

How comforting to know that we don't have to measure up in order for God to love us. He will love us freely. We don't have to be pretty enough, handsome enough, smart enough, rich enough nor lovable enough, God will love us freely. Even if you've turned your back on Him; when you return He will heal your backsliding because He loves you freely. If you confess your sin He is faithful and just to forgive you. He doesn't hold grudges. He loves freely. Draw near to Him and He will indeed draw near to you. Go ahead, take that first step. You'll never regret it. He loves you freely.

Scripture of the Day - October 21, 2012

Hebrews 11:31  By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

Rahab had faith and she acted on that faith. She had heard about the God of Israel and believed on Him. She welcomed the spies that Joshua had sent out, and even helped them hide from the soldiers. She did what they told her to do and was saved from destruction. It seemed like such an insignificant thing to do but she did it and was miraculously saved. The whole city fell except for her home. Had she not let down that scarlet cord she would have perished with everyone else who didn't believe.
There are quite a few lessons in this story. One I will point out today is that it's not enough to just believe. You must act on that belief. It's not enough to have faith. You must act on that faith. James is very clear that faith without works is dead. Do you believe? Show it. Do you have faith? Show it. Do you love Him? Show it, obey His commands.

Scripture of the Day - October 20, 2012

Luke 21:25  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

We are heading into perilous times. Our world leaders are attempting to appease the rise of an evil ideology to no avail. At the smallest spark, waves of violence sweep over our world. The seas, that is people, are roaring. Turmoil is everywhere. Look at England, look at Europe; neighborhoods are being taken over and people who are harassed are being told they should just move because even the police are intimidated.  Christians are slaughtered and churches destroyed daily in Africa. There seems to be no way of stopping them. Pandora's box is open and cannot be closed.
Now I know many of you here in Canada and the U.S. are sheltered from and are unaware of much of what's going on in the world so you probably think this is hyperbole. It's not. The Bible said it is going to happen and it is happening before our very eyes. Now is the time to be ready and if you're not ready, then get ready. My prayer for everyone  is that your eyes be open to what's going on and that you are ready when Jesus returns for His church.
27  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory!
