Scripture of the Day - July 22, 2012

Matthew 6:24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

God is not demanding when He expects that you choose between Him and this world. He is quite reasonable. The bottom line is that you can't love Him if you love the ways of this world. You may claim to but your actions show what you really think.
Let's put it in are married and your husband (or wife) thinks it's fine to date others. Oh he says he loves you but he wants other women as well. Would you think he really loves you? Would you stay with him and tolerate the other women? Of course not...and this is quite reasonable.
Love is a choice. Choose this day whom you love. Choose this day whom you will serve.
