Scripture of the Day - June 15, 2012

Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil...

It is easy to say you love someone but it's a whole other thing to prove your love. Sometimes proving your love means sacrifice on your part, it means putting the other person's interest before your own. We live in an age of,me,me and mine, mine, mine. Couples are often at conflict because each one is looking out for his/her own interest.
What has that got to do with hating evil? Sometimes what God calls evil we think is fun. Sometimes we have to sacrifice the 'pleasures of life' in order to prove our love for God. Oh but when we do the blessings that flow from God far exceed any of the pleasures this world can offer for ...he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
