Scripture of the Day - October 13, 2012

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to ALL that is written therein...

Have you heard of spiritual anorexia? That's when someone will hear the Word of God preached but won't take it in. They won't digest the Word and let it become a part of their being. They are hearers, not doers, of the Word. They won't taste and see that the Lord is good, that His ways are perfect.
There's more to a Christian's life than where you go or what you do or what you wear. Your circumstances don't determine who you are, rather, it's your attitude that determines who you are, it's your reaction to your circumstances that determines who you are. If we claim to be Christian then we ought to be Christ-like and if we want to be Christ-like then we must digest His Word and let it become who we are so that what flows out of us is from God.
